Zimmy Raiders are cute NFT collectibles created by the artist @adamziz. He started with a genesis collection where every few days he would release a doodle and give it away. Interest quickly piqued and soon we had 104 unique hand-drawn genesis Zimmys and a beautiful organic community around them. This was followed by several follow up collections, including Honoraries, Zoblins, Wandering Zimmys, and the biggest of them all, a collection of 5208 second generation Zimmys. As of October 2022, the collections together have total traded volume of over 400 ETH!

My Role

I had been a part of the community since its early days and am the proud owner of Genesis Zimmy #83. When it was time to launch the main collection of 5208 generative Zimmys, a minting website was needed. The brand had gotten big enough to need proper representation. So I was hired to build a home for these collectibles. I designed and developed the website using React and also cooked up a creative mint experience. I worked closely with a Solidity developer for the integration of allow lists and the entire mint process. It gave me an opportunity to be involved in the creation of a production grade smart contract for the first time.
